The lab is jointly operated as Okumura-Funakoshi Group with Prof. Okumura. All our rooms are located in Building R2 in Suzukakedai Campus.

There is no mandatory office hours (so called, core time) to work at the lab.
Participating to seminars and paper-readings is mandatory to earn your credits.
All the activities are jointly held with the students who supervised by Prof. Okumura. Student rooms are also shared.
Presentations and meetings in the lab are held in Japanese or English.
Monthly seminars (in 2 afternoons) Reporting plans and progresses to the members of the joint lab.
Paper readings twice per week (only graduate students make presentations) Introducing a paper in 20-30 minutes to the lab members.
Students enrolled in Department of ICT, School of Engineering can join our lab. Joining as a master’s program student Please refer to the university's web site for the detailed information. Domestic students Take the paper-based entrance examination to be held in every August. We do not accept IGP(C) applications from domestic students including non-Japanese students who live in Japan. Oversea students IGP (A) and IGP (C) programs hold entrance examinations once and twice a year,
Policy All the students are expected to find their reseach themes autonomously in accordance with their own interests.
Possible themes are suggested but not imposed. Students share their consideration in lab seminars and consult the research staff to fix their themes.
Possible themes Themes related to Natural Language Processing, Dialogue Systems, or Human-Machine Interacion (Machine = Computer/Agent/Robot) can be tackled.
