Joining as a master’s program student

Please refer to the university's web site for the detailed information.

Domestic students

Take the paper-based entrance examination to be held in every August. We do not accept IGP(C) applications from domestic students including non-Japanese students who live in Japan.

Oversea students

IGP (A) and IGP (C) programs hold entrance examinations once and twice a year, respectively. Prospective students must be qualified before submitting their applications. IGP(A) assumes the applicant is pursuing a Ph.D. degree.

Those who ask Funakoshi for his guidance, please contact him with a research plan that is well connected to his reseach interest, CV, and copies of undergraduate transcripts. The email subject should be “IGP (A/C) supervisor request”. Please indicate A or C, your intention.

Joining as a Ph.D candidate

Research students (研究生)

We do not accommodate research students who intend to take an entrance examination for any Master’s course. Consult us if you have any other purpose to be a research student.
